About the brandWhen Lindie Bruwer’s four-year-old twin niece and nephew asked to hear a story to pass the time while their parents browsed an antique shop, Lindie discovered that she had a knack for coming up with imaginative adventures which captivated the twins. She loved every second as the twins gasped and wowed, as the stories she told unfolded.
Putting her words to paper, she began writing her tales with a purpose, tailoring each to a specific family; The Adventures of Rosie for Scarlett, followed by Drikus die Drakie for Aiden.
As Lindie’s treasure chest of stories grew, she reached out to an illustrator who brought her words to life with colourful scenes, and so Knuffeltyd was born. Today, the brand boasts a series of children’s picture books in Afrikaans and English, telling inspiring stories of adventure, patience, and the power of friendship. Knuffeltyd’s books are self-published and locally printed, which means each sale enables Lindie to print another book. The stories we are told when we are young can stay with us for a lifetime.
