Between the two cities of Istanbul and Cape Town, father and daughter duo Kirsten and Mark have created a brand of picture-perfect luxurious cotton wares that capture Summer in all its essence. Summah, which was launched in 2017, began as a way for the dynamic duo to make the pieces they had always searched for: beautiful, long-lasting and environmentally friendly. And so, each of their understated towels, throws, blankets and robes are made with 100% organic Aegean cotton, or a blend of linen and cotton, and manufactured using centuries-old Turkish loom and artisanal crafting techniques. The end results of this thought-rich process are the dreamy collections that grace the sands of iconic South African beaches like Clifton and when not used as a towel, can double up as a throw across your couch or perfect to protect you from a nippy summer breeze at night.
