As an interior designer and creator of this bespoke art brand, Marie-Louise Koen uses her work as a platform to evoke thought and emotion. A feminist at heart, most of her paintings are inspired by female form and expression. Collections like Faces of a Woman, I AM YOU, and She Is give voice to issues of gender inequality and empower women to be who they want to be. Her most recent collection, Been Dreaming of the Med, is influenced by her travels across Italy. Although different from her usual portraits, her modern expressionistic style and strong brushwork are distinctive. This series of seascapes is a visual and mental getaway; a portal to the bright beauty of the Amalfi Coast.
