Janni & George was born when Danny Ploos Van Amstel and Joe Santini found themselves on a cross-continent move from South Africa to Sri Lanka with a bag full of the wrong clothes. This sent them on a search for simple, well-made clothing that, in their experience just didn't exist. Now Janni & George (a playful homage to a Sri Lankan tailor who couldn't quite get their names right) offer versatile, everyday wardrobe staples in timeless, flowy silhouettes, made from sustainable materials like luxe linens in dreamy shades. A conscious clothing brand with the tagline, “Ethical, every day”, Janni & George is all about slow fashion and hopes to encourage investing in fewer timeless pieces with its locally handmade clothing range.
