Founders Dévan and Patrick met as creatives at a design studio in the Mother City and, fueled by their deep love and appreciation of South African craftsmanship, slowly but surely started on the journey that would usher in a new era of leather goods.
Today, WEEF is renowned for using leather as a medium to make bold new statements in the form of a range of handmade skinny ties, bow ties, pocket squares, suspenders, belts, and more. Their collection also includes a series of PIÑATEX® accessories, crafted from an innovative natural vegan textile made from pineapple leaf waste.
WEEF products are born out of love, passion, and attention to detail. This includes custom-made pieces for weddings and special occasions. They pride themselves on using responsibly sourced leather from sustainable, reputable South African suppliers, as well as designing and assembling all items in-house, which provides meaningful work and income for local makers and suppliers.
